I was recently invited to display some of my art work at Stephanie Swanson's new gallery, located at 206 South Calumet Road in Chesterton, Indiana. Success!

Sunday's opening reception at the Hobart Art's League was a great success! It was well attended and the food was delicious!  There were old students as well as new students, and many friends.  It was a real sharing experience for the artists.  Thank you to all who took part in this wonderful event!

Most recent honor

I recently entered this piece, Watering Hole, into the Art Barn's Nineteenth Annual Juried Art Exhibition. From a pool of more than 100 pieces created by a plethora of brilliant artists, this piece was selected to earn the honor of a merit award! (Special thanks to Leonard Frank Anglis).

Creativity in Bloom

Gerrie's art students are participating in an exhibit at the Hobart Arts League. There will be a reception held on Sunday, May 6th, from 2 pm to 4 pm. All are welcome! There will be a wide array of art work on display including: oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, colored pencil, and even collage. Meet and greet the students, see their artwork, and enjoy some delicious snacks!

Keep Your Calendar Open

This piece "Strength in Many" was accepted into the 80th Annual Juried Exhibition of the Indiana Artist's Club. The exhibit opens on April 21st and runs until June 10th at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. More details to follow.

Pastel Passion

Tomorrow evening, Thursday December 1st, from 6-8 pm, Gerrie will be starting a pastel demonstration at the rTrail Collective Edge. If you are interested in creating your own art, this will be a great opportunity to learn pastel techniques. Since December is just around the corner, the piece will showcase a snow scene!
