Creativity in Bloom

Gerrie's art students are participating in an exhibit at the Hobart Arts League. There will be a reception held on Sunday, May 6th, from 2 pm to 4 pm. All are welcome! There will be a wide array of art work on display including: oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, colored pencil, and even collage. Meet and greet the students, see their artwork, and enjoy some delicious snacks!

Keep Your Calendar Open

This piece "Strength in Many" was accepted into the 80th Annual Juried Exhibition of the Indiana Artist's Club. The exhibit opens on April 21st and runs until June 10th at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. More details to follow.

Pastel Passion

Tomorrow evening, Thursday December 1st, from 6-8 pm, Gerrie will be starting a pastel demonstration at the rTrail Collective Edge. If you are interested in creating your own art, this will be a great opportunity to learn pastel techniques. Since December is just around the corner, the piece will showcase a snow scene! The VIP opening reception of Capturing the Spirit of Tradition was a huge success! Recently, the Hobarts Arts League presented their 5th Annual Juried Art Exhibit. The show featured a pool of work from nearly 40 artists. Of these fine submissions, Gerrie received 2 awards! A merit award for her piece "Washington Island," and 3rd place for this piece called "After School Practice."

This piece, Friend's Forever, recently received a Purchase Award in the 33rd Elkhart Juried Regional Exhibit. Special thanks to Dr. R. Daron and Michelle Sheline!
